It still feels like yesterday. On a rainy October day in 2008 I sat down behind a desk at KekstCNC in Frankfurt for the first time. Little did I know about the variety my ‘first real job’ had in store for me.

And while I always thought that formal education did not matter as much, I was surprised how much hard and soft skills from my Politics & Economics, and Corporate Communications & Reputation Management degrees I could put into practice.

Fast forward through a rollercoaster of disciplines and industries, I said farewell to London and KekstCNC in 2016, ready to take the corporate plunge. Joining Zalando did not feel quite so corporate though.

Growing alongside one of Germany’s ecommerce successes I acquired my Certified Investor Relations Officer (CIRO) certification and enjoyed ever-changing roles. From expert contributor to leading a team of communications experts, my time at Zalando always focused on ‘telling the Zalando’ with business and financial themes at its heart.

In 2022 I set out as an independent advisor, sharing my belief in the power of simple language with a variety of clients.
